i'm taking a short break from blogging as i'll be chilling out this weekend in britanny. we're flying to nantes and then driving a few hours to a small village called pontmain near which our friend has a chateau. look for lots of posts about french food and village life next week!

Ok, green with envy on this side of the world, though absolutely looking forward to your report on food and life there. We had to postpone our UK/France trip this month to October *sigh*. Have a lovely trip!

wow! i'm really excited to come home and see all the comments. thanks everyone! i'm even more motivated to blog about france now.

stay tuned as i'm going to france again this weekend (yes, yes, please don't die of envy!). it's my birthday and we're going to spend a three day weekend in one of my most favourite cities in the world. i have to show off my knowledge of the city with h even though the last time i was there was for just a month more than ten years ago :)

rums - yes, i did get your article. thanks a lot! i read the nyt dining section every week so if you're sending me an article from there, you can safely assume i've seen it. i will definitely check out the algerian pastry shops. in fact, i'm a bit worried that h is going to be bombarded with my food obsession in paris - i have to tone it down a bit. he's already complaining that i spend way too much time blogging :)

thanks, priya. hope you're enjoying the vicarious travel. if you want to take in sydney, the bahamas and istanbul, check out my manhattan blog - http://lulumanhattan.blogspot.com -and click on february 2005, may 2005 and july 2005 respectively.

mahek, sury, faffer, m - stay tuned for more on france.

sandeep - yes, i do know of clotlde's blog. i actually met her in manhattan last year. it was quite an event - all bloggers getting together. i'm going to organise one in london soon. want to fly in from delhi :)
